Born in Tampa, Greenwood grew up in southern Florida. From the age of two he became an artist and never veered from that course. He enhanced his natural talent by studying art at Ft. Lauderdale Art Institute and Jacksonville University.
Greenwood has worked in a variety of mediums including watercolor, sculpture, glass, oils, and pen and ink. From 1000 sq. foot murals to editorial cartoons, his style varies along with each medium. For the past eleven years, he’s enjoyed the bold colors of acrylics while exploring different subjects through impressionism, not realism.
His philosophy is to make his art uplifting, to make the world a better place. His motto has always been “Love and Peace through Art.”
After graduating high school, he traveled to every major art museum east of the Mississippi in the U.S. and Canada.
Graduated from Fort Lauderdale Art institute in Advertising Design and then studied fine art at Jacksonville University. After college, worked at two different art supply stores.
Co-owned Arts and Craft gallery in Coral Springs, Florida. Co-owned Oounkshaw Art gallery in Young Harris, Ga. Owned Evergreen Art and Frame in Blairsville, Ga. Manager of Appalachian Art Gallery in Young Harris, Ga.
He has painted dozens of interior and exterior murals in homes and businesses. He has taught adult and children's acrylic and watercolor classes.
Displayed and sold artwork in galleries in Fl., Ga., and N.C. Exhibited my artwork for 1 year at Mallory Square "Sunset Celebration" in Key West, FL.
Currently Greenwood is an unpaid volunteer with Purpura Plastika and teaches art to the children
at Amor y Vida orphanage.
